What is University Technical College Norfolk?

University Technical College Norfolk (UTCN) is an exciting school created to develop tomorrow’s engineering, health and technology specialists. UTCN provides a comprehensive educational foundation for any student who has an interest in engineering, health, science, technology, maths or computing. The UTC ethos and curriculum are heavily supported by local and national STEM employers who also provide work experience for students to reinforce the skills learnt in school.

After attending UTCN most students progress to university or apprenticeships. In 2022:

Whatever pathway you choose, UTCN will provide you with valuable skills and experience to help you secure well-paid and interesting employment in your future science, health, maths and engineering career.

‘University technical colleges (UTCs) are government-funded schools that offer 14–19 year olds a great deal more than traditional schools. They teach students technical and scientific subjects in a whole new way and are educating the inventors, engineers, scientists and technicians of tomorrow.’
