‘Accolade is thoroughly deserved’

It’s been another brilliant term here at UTCN and I was so happy to share the fantastic news contained in our recent Ofsted report.

The school’s Outstanding Sixth Form provision is particularly gratifying and reading through the stories of this newsletter it is clear the accolade is thoroughly deserved.

It fills me with immense pride that the hard work and passion of our staff and students is shining through.

As the report states, we are relentless in achieving success for our students.

Reading through this excellent newsletter I continue to be so impressed by the life-changing work-experience placements (Finlay and Amy) and opportunities made  available to our students who accept them with their ambition, determination and professionalism. From learning about the cutting-edge technology on board ships to showcasing excellent teamwork through innovative motoring projects, they are cultivating skills that will help them on the road to success.

Extracurricular clubs continue to support our students’ school work and this term we have looked to the skies for inspiration with Air Cadets and Josh’s Naval Wings triumph.

Lastly, congratulations to our very own maths genius Sidney – fantastic work I am sure you’ll agree. We look forward to supporting your application to a Russell Group university.
