Inspiring programme broadens students’ horizons

AN inspiring programme designed by leading manufacturer Glazing Vision is broadening the horizons of engineering students.

The group were invited to the company for a talk and were then asked to design a rooflight that can be opened without electricity.

Year 12 student Esmee said it was challenging and illuminating.

“I had no idea about the amount of engineering that goes into creating windows and rooflights – also in other areas such as kitchen design. I really enjoyed learning about the sector, and it has made me think of career pathways in that field.”

 

The four-week project will end with a presentation.
