Student looking to build a career in construction

THE BUILDING giant Balfour Beatty has inspired a student to undertake an apprenticeship in project management.
Oli said: “I have always liked construction and my family work in the sector but hearing the company talk about career pathways and learning about the roles inspired me to apply for a role there.”
Balfour Beatty is a construction conglomerate that was founded in 1909. Since then, the company has grown to become the international infrastructure business it is today – operating in the United Kingdom, United States and Hong Kong.
A complex and important project taking place in nearby Cromer’s flood defences has made them a hugely important employer to the school.
The apprenticeship schemes are offered across a range of professions with project management a stepping stone towards a rewarding career.
